Thank you, Lord, that you are so unfair.
Not only do we need Jesus to deal with our sin, but we need him to deal with our sinning and the relentless selfishness our hearts.
A challenge to have the faith and courage to question the way that you do your life, and to seek Jesus and his higher ways.
God solves our biggest problem, our sin, by providing a humble servant to take the pains and suffering that we deserve.
What are you afraid of? How do you face those things? How does the power of God in Christ impact our fears?
What is our biggest problem? the economy? broken relationships? our career issues? Or is there a bigger problem behind all of that? If so, how do we deal with it?
John talks about how Christ transformed his life, and how he can do the same for us.
Caught in the despair of the fake, plastic world around us, people are looking for something real, something that gives us hope.
God does not need perfect witnesses. He needs honest, broken people whose failures reflect his power and love.
Is God really all-powerful? If so, what does that mean for my life?
My dad said that everything that he ever learned could be summed up in the words, “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” Is that simplistic cheeziness or brilliant theology?
What does it look like to wait on the Lord?
Has God forgotten me? Has he been defeated by the messiness of life?
